Police narcotics investigators in Dairi arrest drug dealer and 3 users
Police narcotics investigators in Dairi successfully dismantled a local drug network on Tuesday (April 7, 2026) by arresting a methamphetamine dealer and three users on Jalan Nusantara in the Sidikalang district.
The four suspects, identified as TMS (34), were the dealer, and PDK (21), HD (42), and ABS (38), the users.
The arrests followed reports of suspicious activity around a local neighborhood organization office. “Our team acted quickly after receiving information from the public. Of the four arrested, one was a dealer and the other three were users,” said Syahril Ramadhan, head of the Public Relations department of the police in Dairi, on Wednesday (April 8).
The police arrested PDK on Jalan Nusantara.
During a house search, they found methamphetamine hidden in a plastic bag. Although the suspect dropped the bag at his feet, the officers managed to secure the evidence.
During questioning, PDK admitted to having received the methamphetamine from TMS. TMS was subsequently arrested in front of the neighborhood organization’s office.
Further house searches led to the arrest of two other suspects, HD and ABS, who were suspected based on their suspicious behavior in the room.

At the crime scene, the police seized various pieces of evidence, including a Pyrex glass containing methamphetamine, a sharpened pipette, a plastic bag containing methamphetamine, and 60 empty plastic bags found inside a cigarette pack.
The four suspects are currently being held at the Dairi police station for further investigation and to map out their network.
The police urge the public to continue reporting drug activities to ensure safety and order in the region.
