Motorcycle gang attacks resident on Ayahanda Street, Medan
An attack by a motorcycle gang on Ayahanda/Sendok Street in Medan’s Petisah district was captured on CCTV and went viral on social media.
The attack, which took place on January 16, 2026, left a resident in critical condition, who was subsequently hospitalized.

The incident began when the victim went outside to investigate after hearing a noise.
However, one of the perpetrators threw a stone at the victim, hitting him on the head.
Medan Baru Police Chief Will Take Strong Action in This Case
The victim has filed a report of the motorcycle gang attack with the Medan Baru police.
Medan’s new police chief, Commissioner Bambang Gunanti Hutabarat, said Friday (January 30) that he had requested a statement from the victim.
Investigators are currently reviewing witness statements in this case.
“I hope that the perpetrators (motorcycle gang) who carried out the attack can be arrested,” he said briefly.***
