Ministry of Manpower strengthens workforce competencies in Medan
The Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) is strengthening workforce competencies through the Vocational and Productivity Training Center (BBPVP) in Medan, utilizing competency-based training (PBK) tailored to labor market needs.
The training is conducted in collaboration with local governments, the business sector, educational institutions, and various partners.

Deputy Minister of Manpower Afriansyah Noor emphasized that cross-sector collaboration is crucial to expanding the training’s reach and ensuring that the skills taught are relevant to the labor market.
“This synergy extends the reach of the training and ensures that the skills acquired truly align with labor market needs,” Afriansyah stated during an event at the BBPVP in Medan.
Afriansyah also advised participants to use the training as an opportunity to strengthen the skills needed to navigate the labor market.
“Absorb the knowledge diligently, for the skills you gain here are valuable assets for the future,” he said.

On this occasion, Afriansyah also concluded a housekeeping training program organized by the Ministry of Manpower and the Medan Manpower Office in collaboration with the PLAN International Indonesia Foundation, featuring participants from the community of people with disabilities.
He commended the participants for completing the training and encouraged them to further develop their competence and self-confidence.
The competency-based training provided by the Ministry of Manpower and the Medan Manpower Office covered various fields, including tourism, business operations and management, smart supply chains, and information and communication technology.

Kemnaker Perkuat Kompetensi Tenaga Kerja di Medan
Kementerian Ketenagakerjaan (Kemnaker) melalui Balai Besar Pelatihan Vokasi dan Produktivitas (BBPVP) Medan memperkuat kompetensi tenaga kerja melalui pelatihan berbasis kompetensi (PBK) yang disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan dunia kerja.
Pelatihan tersebut dilaksanakan dengan menggandeng pemerintah daerah, dunia industri, lembaga pendidikan, dan berbagai mitra.
Wakil Menteri Ketenagakerjaan Afriansyah Noor mengatakan, kolaborasi lintas sektor penting untuk memperluas jangkauan pelatihan sekaligus memastikan keterampilan yang diberikan relevan dengan kebutuhan pasar kerja.
“Sinergi ini memperluas jangkauan pelatihan dan memastikan bahwa keterampilan yang diberikan benar-benar sesuai dengan kebutuhan pasar kerja,” ujar Afriansyah dalam kegiatan di BBPVP Medan.
Afriansyah juga berpesan kepada peserta agar memanfaatkan pelatihan sebagai kesempatan untuk memperkuat keterampilan yang dibutuhkan dalam menghadapi dunia kerja.
“Serap ilmu sungguh-sungguh, karena keterampilan yang Anda peroleh di sini adalah bekal berharga untuk masa depan,” katanya.
Dalam kesempatan tersebut, Afriansyah turut menutup pelatihan Housekeeping yang diselenggarakan BBPVP Medan bekerja sama dengan Yayasan PLAN International Indonesia, dengan peserta dari kalangan penyandang disabilitas.
Ia mengapresiasi para peserta yang telah menyelesaikan pelatihan dan mendorong mereka untuk terus meningkatkan kompetensi serta kepercayaan diri.
Adapun pelatihan berbasis kompetensi yang diselenggarakan BBPVP Medan mencakup sejumlah bidang, antara lain pariwisata, bisnis dan manajemen, smart supply chain, serta teknologi informasi dan komunikasi.
Melalui pelatihan tersebut, Kemnaker terus memperkuat kompetensi tenaga kerja agar keterampilan yang dimiliki semakin relevan dengan kebutuhan dunia kerja dan dunia industri. ***rel
