Ministry of Labour and Indo-Rama support independent entrepreneurs (TKM) with capital support

The Ministry of Labour, through the Directorate-General for Employment and Employment Development (Binapenta and PKK), and PT Indo-Rama Synthetics Tbk are supporting five independent entrepreneurs (TKM) in Purwakarta, West Java, with capital support as part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program.

The capital support was provided to three established and two start-up TKM as part of a government-business collaboration to strengthen corporate sustainability, increase community entrepreneurship, and stimulate employment.

The Director General of the Department of Employment and Employment Development (Binapenta and PKK), Sugeng Heri Suseno, stated that the continued cooperation between the Ministry of Labor and PT Indo-Rama Synthetics Tbk demonstrates the importance of synergy between government and business in building an entrepreneurial ecosystem that helps people not only start a business but also with the development of existing companies.

“I would like to express my deepest appreciation and gratitude to PT Indo-Rama Synthetics Tbk, which this year has extended its strategic partnership with the Ministry of Labor through financial support for migrant workers. The support distributed today is the result of a long and careful selection process in which the five best migrant workers were selected,” said Sugeng.

Sugeng explained that the financial support is expected to increase production capacity, modernize business equipment, expand market access—including through digital platforms—and support business development tailored to the needs of each migrant worker.

He explained that this support fulfills different roles depending on the stage the recipient’s company is in. For advanced TKM entrepreneurs, the capital support is expected to strengthen and expand existing businesses. For beginning TKM entrepreneurs, the support is expected to provide a starting point for building and developing sustainable businesses.

“This is the essence of the Independent Labor Market Program: transforming job seekers into entrepreneurs,” he emphasized.

Furthermore, Sugeng revealed that the collaboration between the Ministry of Labor and PT Indo-Rama Synthetics Tbk has yielded positive results. Over the past year, three TKM entrepreneurs who received capital support have been able to create new jobs, in addition to the economic opportunities that have arisen for business partners and suppliers.

According to him, this achievement demonstrates that cooperation between the government and the business community can strengthen the local business sector while simultaneously supporting efforts to reduce unemployment through a community-oriented entrepreneurial approach.

Sugeng advised the recipients to make optimal use of the capital support to develop their businesses during their development phase, both by strengthening existing businesses and by building new businesses in a sustainable manner. ***rel
