Ministry of Labour and bank bjb conclude cooperation agreement for the development of personnel competencies and banking services
The Ministry of Labour (Kemnaker) has entered into a strategic partnership with PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Barat dan Banten Tbk (bank bjb) to develop employee competencies and utilize banking services.
This collaboration is expected to contribute to improving the quality of public service delivery while simultaneously strengthening the implementation of employment programs that are increasingly flexible, productive, and competitive.

The cooperation was ratified with the signing of a joint agreement by the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Labour, Cris Kuntadi, and the Director-General of bank bjb, Ayi Subarna, in Bandung, West Java, on Friday, July 10, 2026.
Secretary-General Cris Kuntadi of the Ministry of Labour stated that this collaboration demonstrates the synergy between the government and the banking sector in responding to the changing needs of the labor market. “This collaboration is aimed not only at improving staff competencies within both institutions, but also at delivering increasingly effective services that yield concrete benefits for the community,” stated Cris.
According to Cris, the constantly changing dynamics of the labor market require collaboration between different sectors so that each institution can adapt to diverse challenges and development needs. The collaboration between the Ministry of Labor and bank bjb is expected to strengthen institutional capacity while simultaneously improving the quality of service to the public.
The collaboration encompasses capacity building and the development of staff competencies within the Ministry of Labor and bank bjb. The implementation of education, training, and various other development programs will be aligned with the applicable regulations of each institution.

Furthermore, both parties have agreed to use various banking products and services to support the execution of tasks within the Ministry of Labor.
“The use of these banking services is expected to increase the effectiveness of financial management while simultaneously strengthening transparent and accountable governance,” stated Cris. The joint agreement also includes the use of facilities and infrastructure owned by both institutions to support the implementation of jointly agreed programs and activities.
Cris explained that the implementation of the cooperation will be further elaborated in a Cooperation Agreement (PCA) to be drafted by authorized officials from both parties. The PCA is an integral part of the signed joint agreement.
He hopes that the cooperation with Bank bjb can increase synergy between the government and the banking sector to support the development of human capital and the delivery of increasingly high-quality public services.
