Man Dies and Decomposing in Boarding House in Tj Morawa Village, Wonosari
Residents of Hamlet 2, Wonosari Village, Tanjung Morawa District, Deli Serdang Regency, were shocked by the discovery of a man’s body in his room on Wednesday evening (February 25, 2026).
The victim’s body was discovered by a friend who wanted to visit him after he had been absent from work for three days.
According to the information gathered, the victim was found dead when a friend came to investigate after he had been absent from work for three days. When he went to investigate, he found the guesthouse door unlocked. When he opened the door, he found the victim’s lifeless body in the living room.
“The victim was estimated to be in his forties, probably of Batak descent. We don’t know where he originally lived. He lived here and worked at PT Tanjung Timber Indonesia, Jalan Sei Belumei Hilir, Dagang Kelambir Village, Tanjung Morawa,” said Apriadi, an eyewitness at the scene.
Police are investigating the crime scene and the cause of death.
Following the report, officers from the Tanjung Morawa police department and the Deli Serdang police detective unit arrived at the scene. They investigated the crime scene and found the victim’s body.
Police are investigating, and the area where the body was found has been cordoned off.
