“This is a significant moment for the Buddhist Student Association of the University of North Sumatra (KMB-USU) since its founding in 1992. KMB-USU still has a long way to go in expanding its efforts and serving the people of Medan, and North Sumatra (Sumut) in particular. I hope the harmony within KMB-USU continues to grow stronger,” said Associate Professor Dr. Agus Susanto, a former KMB-USU chairman who was inaugurated in 1992.
Following the tumpeng (conical rice) cutting ceremony, members of the KMB-USU executive board—including Kenzie Alexander Kelana, Handy Wija Angelzan, Stevie Angie, and Giovanni Goh—were present.
The program continued with a communal lunch, a screening of a nostalgic video recounting the association’s history, interactive games, and an energetic performance by the OMB dance troupe.
The festivities concluded with free time, a karaoke session, and group photos featuring both current members and alumni. ***obs
