INDOMOBIL Expo Medan 2026 strengthens the electric vehicle and charging station (SPKLU) ecosystem in North Sumatra


Coinciding with the 81st Independence Day celebrations of the Republic of Indonesia, the INDOMOBIL Group is hosting the INDOMOBIL Expo Medan 2026 at the Laguna Atrium, DeliPark Mall Medan (August 18–23, 2026).

Centered on the “EVperience” concept, this exhibition aims to strengthen the electric vehicle (EV) ecosystem and showcase various leading electrification brands in North Sumatra.

Strengthening the ecosystem and infrastructure readiness for electric vehicle charging stations (SPKLU)


The growth of electric vehicles in North Sumatra is fully supported by the readiness of charging infrastructure. As of March 2026, PLN UID North Sumatra managed 113 SPKLU units across 91 locations, distributed along both toll and non-toll roads.

“PLN views the development of electric vehicles in North Sumatra as a key part of the process to create an eco-friendly transportation ecosystem. We continue to support infrastructure readiness to make using electric vehicles easier and more convenient for the public,” said Rizky Mochamad, General Manager of PLN UID North Sumatra. INDOMOBIL Expo Medan 2026 serves as the launchpad for three new electrification brands in Medan:

  • Leapmotor: Introducing the Leapmotor B10 (Smart SUV) and Leapmotor C10 (Global Family SUV), the result of a global partnership between Stellantis and PT Indomobil National Distributor.
  • Changan: Introducing the NEVO Q05, a high-tech city SUV designed for daily use.
  • Indomobil eMotor: Presenting two electric two-wheeler models as a practical mobility solution.

Comprehensive product lineup and ecosystem support


In addition to the new product lineup, visitors can explore a variety of other electric vehicles from the INDOMOBIL Group ecosystem:

  • SUVs and family cars: Changan Deepal S05, Citroën eC3, GAC AION V, AION UT, and the premium MPV MAXUS MIFA 9.
    Additional lineup: Nissan Serena C28.
  • Support services: Indomobil 4U, IMFI, and Zeeda are on hand to assist consumers with financing, ownership, and after-sales services.


Hands-on experience via “EVperience”


Through the “EVperience” concept, visitors can go beyond simply viewing the displayed vehicles; they can experience their performance firsthand through test drives.
