Minister of Labor Yassierli has stated that the Ministry of Labor (Kemnaker) is preparing AI-based training for 3,100 young men and women in Padang and the surrounding area. This training is intended to accelerate economic recovery by improving the competencies of the residents of West Sumatra.

The platform offers various materials for competency development, ranging from self-development and entrepreneurship to non-technical skills and other competencies.
“If 3,100 participants are not enough, we can ask for additional participants. But first, we must utilize the training quota of 3,100 participants. I want our youth to have the skills, expertise, and competence to be able to compete,” said Yassierli during the inauguration of a drilled water well at the Balai Gadang Grand Mosque in Padang, West Sumatra, on Thursday, May 14, 2026.
He added that the initial quota of 3,100 participants concerned the first phase of access to AI-based digital training, offered by the Ministry of Labor.
This program is expected to provide broader opportunities for the younger generation to improve their competence and competitiveness in the labor market.

In addition to emergency relief services, the Ministry of Labor has also provided various recovery programs worth 30.3 billion Indonesian rupees to the provincial government of West Sumatra.
This support is realized through various employment programs, such as the Labor-Intensive Program and the Self-Employed Workers Program (TKM). ***rel
