BPJS Kesehatan partner hospitals must continue to adhere to the standard procedures of the free medical treatment program

The provincial government of North Sumatra (Pemprov) has announced a regional initiative to implement the free medical treatment program (Probis).

“We are also working with a partner who is bringing together Haji, Adam Malik, Royal Prima, and Murni Teguh hospitals. The occupancy rate is 80%,” said Hamid Rijal Lubis, secretary of the North Sumatra Health Office, during a conference of the North Sumatra Communications and Information Office in the Dekranasda lobby of the North Sumatra Governor’s Office on Thursday, January 29, 2026.

Hamid explained that the North Sumatra Health Office, under the coordination of the North Sumatra Agency for Development Planning, Research and Development (Bappelitbang), is developing regional healthcare, including regional healthcare on the east coast, in the highlands, in tourist areas, and to strengthen healthcare in Medan.

“We developed this healthcare plan to prevent healthcare from being concentrated in just a few hospitals,” Hamid said.

First-line Model Development of Health Facilities

If this is the case, the North Sumatra provincial government could use one of the models to improve health insurance (FKTP) while working in practice, where there is no way to do this. “We are modeling the smallest layout of the FKTP, to move towards a layout that can only be used,” says Hamid.

It may be possible to use the cup with the Social Security Administering Agency (BPJS). Health continues to meet the Service Operational Standards (SOP), especially with regard to infrastructure, human rights, and other supporting standards.

At 172 years old, he spent hours with BPJS Kesehatan. Based on the results of the monitoring by the North Sumatra Health Office, five private hospitals will receive their first warning by 2025.

“We are confident that they have a standard that is on par with the standard they use,” says Hamid.

UHC is caring for a larger number of patients at Medan Hajj Hospital

Meanwhile, Ridesman Nasution, Director of Human Resources Development at Medan Hajj Hospital, said that UHC is supervised by Medan Hajj Hospital. Between December 2025 and January 2026, 431 patients from 20 regencies/cities in North Sumatra used Probis services.

“It appears that Deliserdang, 287 Easter, the rest of Medan, Karo, Labuhanbatu, and others,” said Ridesman.

In an effort to improve services, Medan Hajj Hospital is making improvements to its facilities and infrastructure. In 2026, the Emergency Unit (ER) experienced a few years of acute cases.

In 2025, it was likely that the ICU would respond to the intensification of treatment. If this happens, you can do this a total of 32 times, making a total of 327.

“For my UHC response, there are 12 doctors who worked for a few months, but 72 times more doctors,” he said.

Ridesman can receive $3.6 million for his purchase of two dedicated doctors. This is a demonstration of the North Sumatra provincial government’s strong commitment to supporting the Probis service, the Best Fast Results Program (PHTC) of North Sumatra Governor Muhammad Bobby Afif Nasution. ***obs
