The Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) is utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) to verify applications for the National Internship Program (MagangHub).
This technology helps analyze information regarding organizing partners and participants, including the reasonableness of quotas and unusual registration patterns.

Ministry of Manpower Secretary-General Cris Kuntadi stated that AI assists the ministry during the verification of organizing partners by identifying relationships between groups of companies and assessing the reasonableness of proposed quotas based on company capacity.
“We use AI to determine if groups of companies are controlled by a single operator, to assess company credibility, and to determine whether a proposed quota remains reasonable relative to the company’s capacity,” Cris said during the National Internship Program monitoring event at the De Djokja Malioboro Hotel in Yogyakarta on Tuesday, September 29, 2026.
Regarding participant selection, AI also analyzes data on applicants and vacancies to identify patterns requiring further investigation. This includes the distribution of participants, their regions of origin, and the alignment of their fields of study with available vacancies.
“In participant selection, AI also helps us identify unusual patterns—such as instances where participants at a company are concentrated among alumni of a specific university, the majority come from outside the company’s region, or their fields of study do not match the available vacancies,” Cris noted.

The use of this technology is crucial because the National Internship Program involves a large number of organizing partners, vacancies, and participants. AI analysis helps identify patterns within this body of information, which can then be analyzed during the screening process.

Kementerian Ketenagakerjaan (Kemnaker) memanfaatkan kecerdasan buatan (AI) dalam proses verifikasi Program Magang Nasional (MagangHub). Teknologi ini membantu menelaah informasi mitra penyelenggara dan peserta, termasuk kewajaran kuota serta pola pendaftaran yang tidak lazim.
Sekretaris Jenderal Kemnaker Cris Kuntadi mengatakan, pada verifikasi mitra penyelenggara, AI membantu Kemnaker melihat keterkaitan antarkelompok perusahaan dan menilai kewajaran kuota yang diajukan berdasarkan kapasitas perusahaan.
“AI kita manfaatkan untuk membantu melihat apakah ada kelompok perusahaan yang berada dalam kendali satu operator, bagaimana bonafiditas perusahaan, dan apakah kuota yang diusulkan masih wajar dibandingkan dengan kapasitas perusahaan,” ujar Cris dalam kegiatan Monitoring Program Pemagangan Nasional di De Djokja Malioboro Hotel, Yogyakarta, Selasa (29/9/2026).
Pada seleksi peserta, AI turut menelaah data pendaftar dan lowongan untuk menemukan pola yang perlu diperiksa lebih lanjut. Hal tersebut antara lain mencakup sebaran peserta, asal wilayah, serta kesesuaian program studi dengan lowongan yang tersedia.
“Dalam seleksi peserta, AI juga membantu kita melihat pola-pola yang tidak lazim, misalnya peserta pada suatu perusahaan terkonsentrasi dari alumni kampus tertentu, sebagian besar berasal dari luar wilayah perusahaan, atau program studinya tidak sesuai dengan lowongan yang tersedia,” kata Cris.
Pemanfaatan teknologi ini menjadi penting karena Program Magang Nasional melibatkan mitra penyelenggara, lowongan, dan peserta dalam jumlah besar. Analisis berbasis AI membantu menemukan pola dalam kumpulan informasi tersebut yang kemudian dapat ditelaah dalam proses pemeriksaan.
Cris menegaskan, pemanfaatan AI tidak dimaksudkan untuk menggantikan proses verifikasi dan pemeriksaan. Hasil analisis AI menjadi salah satu bahan bagi proses pemeriksaan sesuai mekanisme yang berlaku. ***rel
