PT Pegadaian Regional Office I Medan distributes 800 food packages via the “Pegadaian Cares” program
As a show of commitment and social care for the surrounding community, PT Pegadaian (Persero) Regional Office I Medan organized a social activity titled “Pegadaian Cares: Sharing Food Packages”.
This activity took place on Jalan Lubuk Pakam, in the village of Sidodadi Ramunia, Beringin District, Deli Serdang Regency.

Through this activity, PT Pegadaian (Persero) distributed food packages to needy groups in the community, including low-income individuals, orphans, people with disabilities, and other vulnerable groups.
Wawan Triyadi, Deputy Director of Operations at Regional Office 1 of PT Pegadaian (Persero) in Medan, stated that this activity is not only a form of social responsibility but also a means to strengthen ties and improve the company’s image as a state-owned enterprise that offers concrete benefits to the surrounding area.
“Through the Pegadaian Cares activity, we hope that the spirit of mutual cooperation, care, and solidarity can continue to grow. This will create a harmonious relationship between the company and the community in support of sustainable social development,” said Wawan Triyadi.

Also present at the distribution of the relief goods were the Association of Wives of Pegadaian Employees (IIKP) and the management of PT Pegadaian Regional Office I Medan, including the head of the Pegadaian branch Lubuk Pakam, Fauziah Husna Ginting, the head of Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL), Shastri Yulani, and the head of Public Relations & Protocol, Febrian Mega Putra.
The arrival of the Pegadaian representatives was warmly welcomed by the village head of Sidodadi Ramunia, Salamun, who was personally present to represent the beneficiary community.

During the event, which took place in the village of Sidodadi Ramunia, 125 food packages were distributed directly to the residents.

Each package contained basic necessities, including 5 kg of rice, 1 liter of cooking oil, 5 packets of instant noodles, sugar, milk, tea, and sardines. In total, the regional office of PT Pegadaian I in Medan distributed 800 food parcels. The distribution took place in phases and was spread across various work areas within each area.
In addition to the community in the village of Sidodadi Ramunia, “Pegadaian Peduli” aid was also distributed to various orphanages and surrounding areas, including:
1. Fiber Permata Kasih Orphanage
2. Anak Gembira Orphanage
3. Gratia Children’s Orphanage
4. Bumi Nusantara Orphanage
5. Ade Irma Suryani Orphanage
6. Residents around the village of Kebun Lada, the village of Besar, and the Medan Labuhan district
7. Residents near the Pegadaian deputy offices in Medan Area 1, Medan Area 2, Aceh Area, and Rantau Prapat Area.
