SIRI Attorney General Secures South Kalimantan Public Prosecution Service, DPO Ricard Arief Muljadi
The Attorney General’s Intelligence Reform and Innovation Task Force (SIRI) team together with the Tangerang Public Prosecution and the Banjarmasin Public Prosecution arrested the fugitive DPO of the South Kalimantan High Public Prosecution at Soekarno Hatta Airport, Saturday, June 20, 2026.
Richard Arief Muljadi, 38, was arrested after he had just arrived from Singapore. He has been on the run since he was absent from the trial in a coal trade fraud case that cost the state and victims up to IDR 7 billion.

Richard was arrested shortly after arriving at Soekarno Hatta Airport. Man born in Singapore, 19/1/1988, self-employed, address Jl. Bondowoso No. 15 Menteng, Central Jakarta offered no resistance. His attitude was cooperative so that the security process went smoothly.
“When he was arrested, the person involved cooperated so that the security process went smoothly,” said head of the Attorney General’s Legal Information Center, Anang Supriatna, in a written statement, Sunday, June 21, 2026.
After his arrest, Richard was immediately handed over to the Banjarmasin Public Prosecutor’s Office for execution and further legal proceedings.
Richard was charged with Article 378 of the Criminal Code regarding fraud and Article 372 of the Criminal Code regarding embezzlement jo. Article 55 Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code. The maximum penalty is 8 years in prison.

The file has been submitted to the court. But Richard was never there. Due to his continued absence, the Public Prosecution Service of South Kalimantan has added his name to the Wanted List.
The Attorney General has instructed his staff to monitor and immediately arrest fugitives who are still at large, for the sake of legal certainty. He also called on all DPOs of the Indonesian Public Prosecution Service to surrender immediately.
“There is no safe hiding place for fugitives. Turn yourself in immediately and take responsibility for your actions,” the attorney general emphasized.
Richard’s arrest is proof of the seriousness of the prosecution of cross-border fugitives by the Public Prosecution Service. Although he fled to Singapore, he was still tracked and eventually ended up at Soetta Airport. ***adh
