LEP Gas Delivery Driver’s Rickshaw Collides with Vario Motorcycle and Housewife
A collision between a Honda Vario motorcycle carrying a housewife and a motorized rickshaw (Betor) selling LPG occurred Saturday afternoon (February 28, 2026) on the Paluh Kemiri River Bridge in Lubuk Pakam, Deli Serdang District.
Victim Suffers Injuries and Motorcycle Damaged
As a result of the accident, the driver of the Honda Vario motorcycle, a plump housewife, was injured and taken to the hospital.
According to local residents, the incident began when the Honda Vario motorcycle was traveling from Lubuk Pakam toward Tanjung Morawa Center. The motorized rickshaw was traveling in the opposite direction. Both drivers were likely distracted, which led to the collision.
The collision occurred because one of the drivers was driving against the direction of travel.
“Fortunately, the victim’s injuries were not serious, as the driver of the Vario was still conscious. Reports indicate that the victim was coming from Lubuk Pakam, while the motorized rickshaw was coming from the opposite direction, causing the collision,” said Pian, a resident of Paluh Kemiri.
After the accident, local residents rushed to help the victim pull over and secure her motorcycle. It is not yet known whether the two drivers have reconciled.***
