70-Year-Old Grandfather Robbed While Buying Sugarcane Juice, Crete Goes Missing
A tragic incident occurred when Suharto (70), a resident of Dalu Sepuluh B Village, Tanjung Morawa District, Deli Serdang Regency, was robbed. He lost tens of millions of rupiah, including his motorcycle, which was stolen.
Perpetrator Pretended to Offer Victim Basic Needs
Information gathered on Friday (February 20, 2026) from the victim’s son-in-law, Henri Batubara, confirms that the robbery occurred last Monday. The victim was drinking sugarcane juice near the Dalu Sepuluh B Community Health Center when she was suddenly approached by a man on a motorcycle who offered her basic needs and money on behalf of the village chief.
The victim, lured by the promise of money and basic necessities, unsuspectingly followed the perpetrator to the Tanjung Morawa area.
Upon arrival, the perpetrator’s friend was found riding on the back of the motorcycle, en route to the Deli Tua district. The victim unsuspectingly followed. However, when they didn’t arrive at their destination, she asked if they could take turns riding on the back.
The victim filed a police report.
“In a deserted area, the victim asked if they could take turns riding on the back, and the perpetrator then pushed her, causing her to fall into a ditch.
The perpetrator left the victim behind and took her motorcycle, after which she eventually sought help from local residents,” Henri said.
After residents offered help, the victim’s whereabouts were reported to her family, who then picked her up. The victim then filed a police report.***
